Hope Beyond All Reason
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE
"Even when there was no reason for hope, Abraham kept hoping—believing that he would become the father of many nations…" Romans 4:18
TODAY'S WORD from Joel and Victoria
Are you facing a situation that seems hopeless? Maybe you have a promise from God that you haven’t seen come to pass yet. Perhaps it seems like it could have come to pass a few years ago, but now there’s no reason to hope any longer.
In the Bible, Abraham was in the same situation. He had a promise from God that He would be the father of many nations. The only problem was that both Abraham and His wife, Sarah, were well beyond child-bearing years. Abraham didn’t see any reason to hope. There was no way he could think of for God’s promise to come to pass. But I love what this scripture says—even when there was no reason for hope, Abraham kept on hoping. He chose to have an attitude of faith and expectancy, and God was faithful to Abraham and fulfilled His promise!
I encourage you today, when you are facing a situation that looks hopeless, put your hope in God! He will never forsake You; He is the one, true, faithful God! When you hope beyond reason, you will see His promises fulfilled in every area of your life! one, true, faithful God! When you hope beyond reason, you will see His promises fulfilled in every area of your life!
A PRAYER FOR TODAY
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your faithfulness in my life. I trust that Your promises are true. I choose to put my hope in You no matter what my circumstances may look like. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Giving it Up to God.....
I have handful of blogs on that I just cannot help but check up on everyday.
It is like God is leading me to certain people to give & get encouraging words.
Some of the blogs I have read, the person's whole life has been completely turned upside down & inside out, but they continue to have trust & love in Christ. I think it is awesome!
I do not recall a time being mad directly at God when I lost my son. I remember being mad at myself or just the fact of not having him here with me. But I can honestly say I have not been mad at God. I am not saying I am perfect for this, because I am not. I admit I have mentioned times that it sucks & it being unfair. I have asked WHY? a thousand times. Was I not good enough, did I do something wrong, am I horrible mom to the ones I have, do I not deserve any more? But I have never cursed God nor turned my back on Him. If anything, this has actually brought me closer to Him. (Amen)
One day I was asking myself, why do we have to be so sad when someone dies? What about death makes us so sad? Why can't we be happy & joyful that they are lying in waiting for our Savior to come get them?
I praise God for giving me my little time I had to share with my son. Even though he was not breathing when he was born, he was surely alive inside my womb! I got to see him on the sonogram screen at 12 weeks moving around so much. It was like watching a fish in water!! I started feeling him move at 15+ weeks. I love those two things the most, besides when I got to see him after he was born.
Those are my memories I will hold on to for now. I know in my heart that one day Jesus is going to come back down to earth & take us all home. Then, I will get to play with my son & be with him for all eternity.
One more thing before I go, I am turning it ALL over to God, right this moment! I have believed my whole life that Jesus is my savior, but I know that I have not completely given it to Him yet. I trust Him & know He is the alpha & omega, the beginning & the end. I will walk in His path & I will let Him lead instead of me trying to lead myself & glorify You always. Jesus take my heart & make it Yours. My will is Your will. Amen
Before I go here is one thing my friend David Ramos twittered about & I wanted to share: "I always had a problem w/ the bumper sticker: Jesus Is My Co-Pilot. -He should be in total control! I dare u to try it. Give him the Wheel!"

Amazing (lyrics)
by Janelle
The morning cold and raining,
dark before the dawn did come
How long in twilight waiting
longing for the rising sun
ohoh ohoh
You came like crashing thunder
breaking through these walls of stone
You came with wide eyed wonder
into all this great unknown
ohoh ohoh
Hush now don't you be afraid
I promise you I'll always stay
I'll never be that far away
I'm right here with you
You're so amazing you shine like the stars
You're so amazing the beauty you are
You came blazing right into my heart
You're so amazing you are...
You are
You came from heaven shining
Breath of God still flows from you
The beating heart inside me
Crumbled at this one so new
ohoh ohoh
No matter where or how far you wander
For a thousand years or longer
I will always be there for you
Right here with you
You're so amazing you shine like the stars
You're so amazing the beauty you are
You came blazing right into my heart
You're so amazing you are...
I hope your tears are few and fast
I hope your dreams come true and last
I hope you find love that goes on and on and on
I hope you wish on every star
I hope you never fall too far
I hope this world can see how wonderful you are
You're so amazing you shine like the stars
You're so amazing the beauty you are
You came blazing right into my heart
You're so amazing...
You're so amazing you shine like the stars
You're so amazing the beauty you are
You came blazing right into my heart
You're so amazing you are...

Here she is with four of her nine grandbabies!
Let me tell you a little about my mom, aka Granny.
She was born on Halloween 1958.
She met my dad in 1975 & they married May 11, 1976.
My brother Michael was born, October 21, 1976.
I soon followed on November 9, 1978.
Finally, there was Bo who was born June 17, 1980.
She is the sweetest, loving, most hardworking & supportive mother a girl could ever ask for & I know I am the luckiest woman alive to have been raised by her, along with my dad.
I would never trade her for anything!
I love you mom, thanks for giving me life & thank you God for giving me this wonderful woman I call MOM!

Living Hope
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE
“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In His great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead" 1Peter 1:3
TODAY'S WORD from Joel and Victoria
In what or in whom do you put your hope? Sometimes it’s easy to get focused on the natural realm and put our hope in what we can see or what we can understand—people, jobs, governments. But we have to remember, this world is temporary. When we put our hope in things of this world, eventually those things will fade away. But when we put our hope in Jesus, we are hoping in what is real and eternal. Through Him, we have a living hope—hope that will never disappoint or fade away.
I like how Webster’s dictionary defines hope: “to desire with expectation of obtainment.” Isn’t it good to know that we will obtain every promise given to us through Christ Jesus? We have a future and a hope!
The next time you feel discouraged or frustrated with what’s going on around you, remember that you have hope inside of you that is alive. You have the promise that He will never leave you nor forsake you. Put your hope in God and let Him direct you in the good plan He has for you!
A PRAYER FOR TODAY
Father in heaven, thank You for a living hope! I choose right now to refocus my mind and heart on Your purposes for me. Help me stay focused on what is eternal so that I can make wise decisions in everything I do. I bless You today and always. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

White as Snow
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE
“…though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow…" Isaiah 1:18
TODAY'S WORD from Joel and Victoria
Isn’t it good to know that we serve a God who wants to make us new? Because of Jesus, no matter what has happened in the past, we can be made pure again and white as snow! You might be thinking, “Oh Joel, you don’t know what I’ve done. You don’t know what I’ve said. You don’t know how I’ve acted. I don’t even know if I can forgive myself.” Friend, you have to understand that when we come to God and repent of our sins, the Bible says that He takes those sins and casts them as far as the east is from the west. And by choice, He remembers them no more.
He’s not ever going to bring up your sin again. He’s not going to hold it over your head. In His mind, it’s as if it never happened. And if God has forgotten your sins, if He sees you “white as snow”, why don’t you start seeing yourself that way? You don’t have to live in condemnation over the past any longer. You are a child of the most High God. You are pure; you are new. Embrace His mercy so you can move forward into the abundant life He has for you.

Rejoice in Difficult Times
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE
"We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation" Romans 5:3-4
Today's Word From Joel & Victoria
Did you know that the way you handle your adversities has a huge impact on your success in life? If you shrink back, choose to get bitter, and lose your enthusiasm, then you are allowing the difficulties of life to bury you. You are allowing hardship to keep you from your God-given destiny. But if you choose to keep pressing forward with a smile on your face, rejoicing even in the hard times, you are allowing God’s character to be developed inside of you. You are setting yourself up for promotion.
Did you know that the only difference between a piece of black coal and a priceless diamond is the amount of pressure that it’s endured? When you stand strong in the midst of the trials and difficulties in life, when you allow God to shape and mold your character, it’s like going from a piece of coal to a priceless diamond. Those difficulties are going to give way to new growth, new potential, new talent, new friendships, new opportunities, new vision. You’re going to see God develop your life in ways that you’ve never even dreamed!
